Thank you for visiting the official site of “Wednesday”, a violent, gritty tale depicting a mysterious group of terrorists that interrogate and ultimately test not only the strength and will of a young female operative but ultimately her loyalty to their “cause”. This is a short film that is powerful both visually and emotionally. It asks a question of just how far can a human being go after enduring several sessions of torture, brainwashing, starvation, and psychological trauma before either giving up…or giving in and joining her captors in their cause. And when one breaks to join that cause, is it for self preservation or is it a true transition to darkness?
"Wednesday" is set in an abandoned warehouse somewhere on the outskirts of Eastern Europe in the early 2000's. Stana, a worn but sturdy young girl, spends the film being tested physically and emotionally via a series of torture tactics by a pack of vile terrorists who are out to break her silence and her spirit.
Vladamir Gerza, a well dressed lieutenant of the "Ravens", leads the gruesome proceedings. Mostly delivering verbal threats and taunts from the far side of the room while his men do his bidding. Alexei, an ex-military mercenary, serves as his second in command. Nikolav, a more grisly man bred in the criminal underworld, does the majority of the torturing.
How far can she go before finally reaching that breaking point?
